Evelyn Pelletier

Biography

Only child of Jean-Baptiste and Amélie. Trained as a nurse in Montréal during the war; met Thomas Whitfield at a wedding in upstate New York in 1949. They married three months later, against the advice of every aunt on both sides. None of the aunts were ever proved right.
