Thomas Walter Whitfield

Biography

Son of Walter and Ruth. Left Boone County in 1959 for graduate study in chemistry; met Evelyn Pelletier the same year. Spent the rest of his life on the Richelieu river — teaching, fishing, writing very long letters back to his mother. The shift in our family's centre of gravity, from Kentucky to Quebec, runs through him.
